Dial M for Murder

Performance/s:  February 6-25, 2018

Show Time/s: 8pm Tuesdays-Saturdays; check calendar for Sunday show times!

Description: Our patrons’ number one pick for a non-musical, Frederick Knott’s Tony Award-winning classic thriller, Dial M for Murder, was turned into a suspenseful Alfred Hitchcock film after its highly successful run on Broadway. Tony Wendice married his wife for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. He arranges the perfect murder…or so he thinks. When the would-be murderer Tony hires ends up dead, Tony will go to any length to see his wife convicted for the crime. Add in a blackmailing scoundrel, a former lover and a police inspector from Scotland Yard and you have a thrilling whodunit. Clues abound in the unfolding of the tale, so be watchful! The New York Times calls the award-winning play, “remarkably good theatre—tingling with excitement.”

"It's a holiday for the whodunit fans, and, as such, it couldn't be more welcome." — NY Herald-Tribune.

Performance/s:  October 4-22, 2017

Show Time/s: 8pm Tuesdays-Saturdays; check calendar for Sunday show times!

Description: From Alice Walker’s bestseller and Stephen Spielberg’s Oscar-nominated film comes a stage musical with a fresh, joyous score of jazz, ragtime, gospel and blues. Hailed as “One of the greatest revivals ever!” by New York Magazine, "The Color Purple" is the epic tale of 40-years in the life of a family in rural Georgia. At its center is fourteen-year-old Celie. When Celie is forced by her overbearing father to marry a cruel farmer, called “Mister,” she is separated from all that she loves. With a soul-raising score, The Color Purple gives an exhilarating new spirit to this Pulitzer Prize-winning story. This stirring family chronicle follows the inspirational Celie as she journeys from childhood through joy to anguish and then hope as she discovers the power of love and life.

The beautiful production garnered eleven Tony nominations, and "The Color Purple" won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, two Drama Desk awards, and the 2017 Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album.

Pledge the Pink Walk (formally Loco Motion)

Roll out of bed and meet us at Shelter Cove Towne Centre, at the park where we all met Thursday night. Carpool and park near Belk’s by 6am.

Bag drop will be available in the park and we will TRY to have coffee available for everyone. Water and fruit will be waiting, for sure. As will portajohns.

Race will start promptly at 6:30am and the first two miles of the course are on pathways and sidewalks.

Please note that we are crossing Highway 278 at approximately Mile 1 and we are required to have the sheriff’s office there to ensure everyone’s safety.

The officers will only be there until 7am (that gives you 30 minutes to get to mile one). If you are late to the start, you’ll need to make sure you can run to this intersection by 7am.

You’ll step onto the beach at Burke’s Beach, at mile 2. In addition to water, snacks, and sports drink, we’ll have portajohns here and we suggest everyone use them.

There will be additional bathroom available along the course but you will have to leave the beach to access them!

The sun will be rising as you enter the beach and low tide is at 5:18am so we’ll have plenty of wide beaches this morning.

The course is basically two miles of pathways, then five miles of beach, and then 3 miles of pathways to the finish line.

The after-party starts around 8:30 and breakfast will be catered by our dear friends at the Lunch Lady.
